Owls Lodge had a different feel today, with RF not setting the course and an intent to firm it up I believe (due to some top shots suggesting so apparently). Certainly there was half the course set edge-on and often sim. Not the most enjoyable for my personal preference. I straighted stands 2 and 5? the sim overhead aways, which was promising, but just struggled to be tidy on a lot of the rest. Shot 83 and felt I worked for it. I think if you're good with trap and OSK you may do much better than I did.

It will be interesting to see how well others do. I feel anything in the 90s is pretty good, but maybe the style of targets sit more comfortably with others..

High gun 93 and 1st in AA 91.  We started on stand 5 ?   I shot 73 and was disappointed with that.  I was particularly bad on the Skeet layout stand, my wheels completely fell off and rolled away - I know what the problem is so just need to work on it.  I didn't like the sim loopy thing and yellow/green incoming.   I should have paid attention to the first target and secured that instead of rushing to find the other one.  Sloppy elsewhere missing pairs in the middle of a stand and I think 2 straights.  3 hours to get home.

You beat me   , agree perhaps too many real edgy stuff with plenty of speed behind them but my mate who is A class managed 83 so my worst reg score ever of 72 is still down to me not being awake, started poorly on stand 1 got progressively worse till the last 4-5 stands which I shot well.

Thanks Hammie you made my day ?

Just back from AGL and managed to avoid the rain. Shot ok considering how my scores have been recently and only had real trouble on the driven pair off the tower. Nailed the first pair then missed 5 of the next 6. Was happy with a 5 on the final stand which was tricky. Finished on an 80 and happy with that.

The last stand was a pig, well shot Simon. I hit 4 on there and just was in front of loads of stuff I should have hit elsewhere. A decent course that should be won on 95, 9 more than I managed..

Yeah it was a nice course on the whole. Few people were complaining about no birds on the simo rabbits but I must have lucked out as had none and the one I missed was me being too casual on the 2nd shot. Other than that teal on 12 there nothing horrible so reckon one of the big boys may hit a 96/97.

Liked the funky new scorecards too.

Just got home from AGL.  There was a 95 on the board when I left and Mr Solomon had put in a 93.

I enjoyed the targets.  Too many odd targets dropped here and there and I seem to be suffering with the odd occassion where I'm failing to pull the trigger properly (only affected me on one pair, just hope it isn't the start of a trigger freeze issue), but overall I think I shot it fairly well.  Not many targets I couldn't get on and even on Stand 12 I managed three of the loopers and two of the teal.  Finished on a 76.

I shot Court Farm this morning. Haven't been for ages and I did what I knew I would! Hit all the longer harder stuff well and embarressed myself on some stationary or 5 yard targets. Grrr.. 88, but wrecked a potentially winning card with cringe worthy misses on soppy stuff. I find it deceptive there as there is less spring than usual, plus close trees that make clays look faster than they are. It was windy too, which made some stuff a bit random. Enjoyed it though.

Longridge, on my tod and although chilly, only a mild breeze and none of the forecasted wet stuff. First day out using only Fiocchi Official Sporting also.

Shot course 1-11, patchy start, brain fart mode first two stands then did not find a quick / flat / edgy overhead going away, tidied up on some rangy targets that have ruined me before which was ? Wheel came off on a simo stand, my stand was blighted by no birds and I not only lost focus i very nearly lost the plot, a 5 minute reminder to myself to behave and finished some tough stands well enough to have a watching  AA say "well shot"

Ended on 70 on what was a good course so another ? for me, Nick Portlock winning on 94 when i left

Porkys 94 was outstanding!

I managed a 92 which was bitter sweet I shot really well but seemed to let one go on most of the easier stands

But a good tough shoot

Looking forward to seeing the results

Enjoyed Longridge today. 82. 3 away on simple stand 1 ?. Nice touch by Steve to put some fizz up for the ladies. ???

Jasper.

Talking about cringe worthy my run of mediocredom continues  :D , hard reg course at Greenfields not helped by some rather dubious simmo's that were borderline shootable with the wind today, totally my own fault for not remembering that I shot the last rabbit stand at Owls with Skeet chokes -_-  the chippy breaks were doing my head in until I realised after 3 stands. Shot some tidy stands straight but 78 was a good ten shy of my ability, pretty sure 88 from A class was HG.

Just think how low your score would have been with tight chokes in. Nice to see you coming over to open chokes.

Not likely   I'm getting tighter with old age, moving ever closer to 3/4 & Full no less.

Ah the Fizz, Steve put up three bottles of Gold Presecco for the three highest placed ladies, I did try and book in as "Racheal" but the eagle eyed Sara Monk on the desk saw through my not so cunning plan ?
