Good targets at Greenfields, I made a bafflingly bad start on a R/L midi/std simmo with 6 then another poor 7 on a tricky simmo split going aways for which I later realised she'd scored me a 6  :frown: , things got much better afterwards and I managed to rescue 85 scored but very unlikely to be in the running, slowly getting the confidence back which is the important thing.

Meadowcroft today, lovely weather, did feel warm, as for this old codger, badly setting up I was not at all with it from first stand an from then on found it a bit of a slog, two targets i did not find once and on most stands too many late lost pairs made it for me a shoot to forget. Bunter 65 & Stew Keen 87

Richard Keen 94 was high gun when I left, most “big names” had shot so it probably held

Bumped into Sain & Tony Hoskins, a pair its always a joy to see

A weekend a bit off-form for me. A pair of 84s at owls and four counties. Two very bad stands at each shoot ruining the cards. Hey ho. Always next time.

No Registered shoots on inside a two hour drive of me today, so spent a very pleasant morning in the sun at my favourite local shoot, Stonestile.

A very sloppy 83 at Weston wood for me,two bad stands and too many ones and twos dropped.a very good and enjoyable shoot.?

Meadowcroft nothing i didn't find but no consistency at all, could have been shooting left handed worst i have shot in years.

Crazy as a couple of weeks ago i was only 6 off high gun!

Good to see Sian & Tony.....ain't that hill killer ;)

That hill nearly did for me, lovely to see you.   Meadowcroft was the first time for me, one extremely bad stand - a driven that didn't really behave itself and me getting really frustrated so got 1/8 ended on a 77.  Then off to Westonwood which took two hours, getting through Bath was a nightmare - is there a way around that?  Shot Westonwood fairly well finished on an 81 losing 5 on the bloody sim teal.  Then got home and realised Greater London Ladies came first in the Intercounties at Eriswell so pleased at that, I feel I shot that quite well yesterday 81 so happy for myself and my team mates.

Bath is (in places) stunning did you not enjoy?

Yes there are other routes to M4 that avoid the grid-lock, will try and plot them for you next time I see you / Tony

Myself and a mate of mine took the 2 1/2  he drive to shoot Eriswell lodge on the Saturday, my first cap for Lincolnshire so a very special day. We started on stand 9 in the rotation system on the saturday which cost me dear. Lost 13 targets on stands 9 -12, which I struggled to recover from. Excellent shoot and facilities, well worth the drive.

I went to 4C’s for last cards as out in London Town Saturday night so fancied a lie in for once. Good time to go as was empty bar 2 stands. Started off well dropping 1 from the first 3 stands but then had a mare on 4 as did not find that battue once and missed the last crosser for a 3. Unfortunately the sun was causing problems on quite a few stands after that which didn’t help much. Dropped 4 on the final stand only killing the last pair to finish on a mediocre 75. I did end on a positive note as had a crack on the pool shoot on the way back to the car and managed to straight that for the first time ever but then missed the first sudden death shot. And some chap had already put in a 10+8.

RIch it took 50 minutes to get from the shoot back onto the M4 and most of that going through Bath with Tony saying every 2 seconds I hate Bath, if I never see Bath again it will be too soon, I hate Bath, I don't like the dirty buildings, I hate Bath.and on and on!  So yes if you have a magic route from shoot back on to M4 that would be excellent x

I assume there was a good reason not to do four Counties and Weston instead Sian?

We have never been to Meadowcroft and you know I like to get about so we decided this weekend we would give it a go.  It would be impractical to do it regularly but every so often I like to mix it up a bit.

I’m like you, but I have travel limits.. ? I have still managed 18 different grounds in this grading period though.

SatnNavs don't seem to like Bath. It's one of those places where you get a completely different route on the way back. But it's always going to be fiddly because there aren't really any practical routes to the M4 that completely avoid the built up areas and 20mph zones. Meadowcroft to M4 on a Sunday should be about 20-25 minutes.

Rich will set you right.
