Another great course (and great breakfast) at Owls Lodge today. Good squad, great company. The wind died down after a while and it was all sensible. A bit firmer than recently maybe? Steve Lovatt leading on 94 when I left, which might just be enough.

Atkin Grant and Lang tomorrow. A great week! ?

AGL was a good course. Possibly the scene of my most stupid collection of 6 soppy misses ever.  Shot the rest quite well for a 91 but should have been a massive score. Twonk!

Enjoyed the day with Jane at AGL, about four silly misses.  Really pissed me off the stand with the one that came close in and then the right to left loopy thing, hit all the close ones, confidently shot the first thee loopy things and then missed the last two.  Knew before I even shot the driven I was not getting them.  Did what Ed told me to do as a one eyed shooter as he happened to be there but I just can't get over the feeling of nausea as soon as I am in clear sky above my head.  Came off shaking again and glad it was my last stand.   75.

I missed two of the tricky edge-on battues, plus one of the l-r midis on same stand. Fair enough. Lack of talent.

Less forgivable were:

The last pair on the stand downhill from the clubhouse, the orange dropper and crosser pair!

The first very close bird on stand 2! (Before the bigger r-l looper).

Three! of the quartering aways in the corner stand (3?) with the R-l incoming battue.

FFS.

Popped in to Hawley clays this morning near Dartford.

Nice and close to me when Northall is not on on a Saturday.

70 sporting and a compact layout. Believe they have a skeet layout too but I'm told it hasn't been 'hooped' in a while.

Nice little shoot. reasonable prices too. £18 for 70 ESP and £7.50 for the compact.

managed just 55/70 and a 16x25 and a 19x25 on the compact so not a gimme layout.

There was a period of about an hour when I'm convinced that there was a Foehn wind blowing in the lee of wave off the SouthDowns. The temperature got up to around 18 to 20 degrees I'm sure!

you've had quite a week young lady, very well done X 3

Court Farm today. Haven't been there for ages and imagined that I would be right on top of the fiddly edgey targets. Hmm.. Didn't quite work like that in practice. I dropped about 12 in three stands and finished on 80. Such a tricky deceptive shoot. Got unexpectedly wet too.

If I was nearer I would go there more often as its a certain type of target.
