had a rare chance to go shooting yesterday, skeet traps were out of clays (waiting for a delivery) so had a go at all the sporting stands.......I may start to take this more seriously :biggrin:

Woohoo, finally made it up to Auldgirth today the old van managed to make it up the hill and along the dirt track with remarkable ease so I'll be up for some comps over the coming weeks. See they've changed the sporting stands without dumbing them down (shot well), had a round of DTL (mixed), round of skeet (odd silly miss). So all is well again. Main objective achieved - trying out different carts to see what I like best from Gamebore White Gold 8, Eley Blues 8, Rio comp 7.5 & Clever T1 7.5. Nothing to choose between the Rio and T1s, White Gold edged it over the Eleys.

Davey is bringing down a box each of Gamebore UT 9s and Drago Skeet for me to have a play with next week  :biggrin:

Tried the Cheddite UT 9.5 & Drago Skeet carts today, UT are OK but the Drago Skeet is a very nice cart, up there with the Remington IMO so will probably be what I go to when I run out of Remingtons.  Tomorrow will be about shooting rounds, building routine.

Didn't go quite as planned but more useful, round of DTL, round of ABT (first time ever), 2 rounds Skeet, coffee & bacon roll then back to the Skeet. Solo on the Skeet second time out so Davie the owner came to button, watched me on my weakest clays and gave me some very useful tips, things think about and changes I could make to how I approach things, some had an instant impact others will take a bit of time and work.

NSK I'm averaging somewhere around the 22 mark, frustrating thing is I know I'm easily capable of breaking every single clay but I'm not consistently breaking everything except for 6&7. One problem I have is the second clay of the pair on 4, because I have to nominate the first clay my brain focuses on that and I have been known to forget the second clay completely, I'm trying to get over that by nominating before I break the gun to reload then saying the order quietly to myself.
