A bit of clay has taken a chunk out of my comb.
The hole is about 4mm round and 3-4mm deep.
Can anyone advise the best way to fill the hole.

Unfortunately it's not a dent/depression so filling I think is the only option. :(

It's on a grade 5 Miroku stock.

Thanks

I had a really nasty gouge taken out of the forend of a grade 5 Miroku 20 gauge by a clay , so I feel your pain , your stock is a thousand pound piece of timber ! I took mine to ‘ The WoodWorking Gunsmith’ at Thimbleby Shooting School and it came back indistinguishable from new .

So the advice I can give is look for a specialist stocker , they will have seen more damage than you can imagine and know all the tricks and have all the kit / materials . The price of replacement stock makes chucking a few bob at a professional repair viable .
