Mate of mine had £800 of Pilla's nicked at NCSS Bisley.

They are amongst us.

Look after each other's gear while shooting in a stand or peeing in the bushes.

Peeing in bushes Rosso? Trust you to lower the tone! Or was it that bloody parrot? I won't shoot anywhere that doesn't have proper facilities, after all this is the 21st century.....even in Dorset! Pmsl!

Les53 is quite right about Dorset. We have mains drainage, street lighting, tarmac roads in places and I'm proud to tell you that BBC2 is being introduced experimentally in the larger villages.

Peeing in the bushes, really!

They are. I had a pair of Rangers go.

Very similar articl appeared on fleabay a few days later. (No case and same lens colour)

How do you prove it though?  Mine didn't have any marks etc to identify them.

And I'm not causing a stink if there's a possibility I could be wrong.

My new ones are marked.

Ah well , at least  there's one cup of tea I don't buy anymore.

Sad to think the close knit community we are part of will nick stuff from each other.

I know it's the minority, but disappointing nonetheless.

Let's hope they turn up.

I had a shooting bag taken when out at registered shoot! I assumed it had been stolen but about an hour after getting home I was call by the ground and it was returned! He had the same bag as me and picked up the wrong one.....

They found my cpsa card in the pocket and he hadn't even pinched my cartridges ?

I just went around a 60 bird local club shoot with a mate who has just taken delivery of his custom built, exhibition grade Boxall & Edmiston. He's waited 18 months for it.

It is like a custom built Aston Martin or Bentley. The engineering and workmanship is simply breathtaking and the exhibition grade wood is just plain beautiful.

But at £27500 I dont think I could bring myself to take it out on a club clay ground and stick it in the rack! I'd be terrified someone would ding it or worse still, liberate it!

As a piece of 'machine art' though it is stunning, second to none!

Would be good to see some pics of it if at all possible!

If there are people who will steal clays by not declaring how many they shoot at honesty grounds then they will certainly lift anything left lying around or accessible!

Its a bit worrying when you can't take your gear into the club room and the car is a long walk away but you can't risk leaving it outside as if the gun goes missing Plod is not going to think you fulfilled your duty to keep it secure and might take the opportunity to revoke your licence!

I have to smile when I read this, When I first started shooting at the old Blandford & Dorchster GC on comp days (ISU skeet) I used to leave my browning A1 skeet and all my shells on the top of my car while we went down to the cafe by the road for lunch! always there when we got back!

Funny uou should mention Blandford. Not that l9ng ago I left the pair of rangers on the last layout at Southern counties when doing a selection shoot

. Rang them a few days later. they had found them and kept them safe in the office until I next went for another selection nearly 12 months later.

Didn't want to appear gauche by asking for a pic or two and wasn't sure if putting pics on the net would be such a good idea anyway!

The pictures here don't come close to doing it justice.

The surprising thing is how light the gun feels but it weighs in at 7 1/2 lbs and how slim the stock is but the balance point is right at the hinge pin.

Oh and when I tried it for size my eye was dead centre on the rib. :)

Lottery ticket looks tempting!

Les you  love it really.  Only last week you strayed to Axminster and the toilets there are something from biblical times.

I know, Axminster is not for those with a weak stomach that's for sure!

Cabins at my hunting club got hit...got me good!  We eventually caught the rotten ba$ta@D!  Had 7 priors and parole violation so he is put up for a awhile, thanks God!!  California is over run with "Non Violent" felony offenders.  They know they will get quickly put back on the street and just don't care!!
