F3              Long

F3 Piston   Mid

F3 Bior      Short

But of course, they all "break the rules"

See all these velocity figures where do you get them from? They seem a little on the high side. If you go to Fiocchi's website their fastest competition load is 400m/s or 1300ft/s Fblack is 380m/s or 1250 ft/s Clever figures are something similar yet it would appear British manufacturers turn out much faster loads
We recently measured several cartridge speeds, the Gamebore Evo 28g, through a Cylinder choke, observed velocity at 1mtr from the muzzle was 1239fps (average speed across six shells)

anyone ever use these . local dealer recommended them for sporting ? Thoughts?

I shoot Fiocchis. Great consistency, great patterns and hard shot...oh and cheaper than just about anything out there at the moment as well.  My Perazzi patterns really tight and these open my pattern up a bit.  I can vouch for their ability to break stuff a long way out and they aren't too hard on the shoulder either.  As with any cartridge, its a very personal thing.  I'd give a slab a try and see what sort of breaks you get on the clays, see how hard they are on the shoulder, and see how much cheaper they are than your current shells, and then make your decision.  I flirted with the Express Power Golds (7.5's) and they were the best breaks I had in my Perazzi........but at £220/1000, I think not.  I use the F3's (UK 8's) for up to about 50yds and F-Blacks (UK 7's) for anything beyond that. F-Blacks are about 3 chokes tighter in my Perazzi and the big balls and tight pattern do their thing at range.

No doubt about Fiocchi and Cheddites + others of course , being value for money , but how many of you , given the price rise are now using cheaper brands than you used to?

Just a bit of a 'Heads Up' really, but local cartridge supplier has Kent Velocity, Eley First or Choice or whatever and Hull Comp X all plastics at £170 and Superfast plastic at £172/1000. Still around £15 more than before the last increase, BUT better than a kick up the bum  !

Must be because of the election................
