Today I have been looking for shooting grounds where I will be holidaying - sadly though - the highlands seems very dry of clay grounds

Shot a charity shoot yesterday, was in second when I left with a 93/100, and reaffirmed that I HATE rabbit targets that hit oak tree roots and jump freaking backwards. ;)

Phoned Teague Precision to enquire about sending my 20g Miroku Mk60 down for thin-wall chokes before the game season .

I was planning on sending it to them , but considering the  local RFD handling fee , plus the carriage , I might as well have a day trip down through the Cotswolds and pay for the diesel instead 🙄.

Just got to make my mind up on chokes now , I’m thinking  imp , 1/4 , 3/8 , 5/8 , should cover most bases nicely .

Ordered 5 flats (slabs?) of Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics at $62 per each with FREE SHIPPING (saving about $40 USD in shipping/hazmat fees).

Today im excited to be (hopefully) going out this eve, and trying a new adapter I got for my GoPro H7B which should go on the end of the barrel like a shotkam.

Hopefully ill get some decent images/videos of clays exploding into glorious dust.
I am constantly baffled by the want to stick excess weight on the end of your barrels to "improve" your shooting completely changing the balance of your gun,i wouldn't imagine it does much for your minimal barrel awareness either!

So if you shoot really well with it on and then take it of and shoot crap does it become a permanent fixture?

I have been watching Shot Kam clips recently and find them fascinating, if it were not for the cost I would probably try one out. I too am curious about the effect a camera would have on ones shooting, a.) because you just KNOW it's there, b.) the effect on the balance of the gun.

I can't see the harm if used during practise sessions. The use of cameras are not permitted in registered competitions according to CPSA General and Technical Rules 2.30.

So last night I was out, with the camera on.. about half way round, the gun did get extra heavy.. But its a case of man up, and will build the arm muscles for the future. It wont be a permanent fixture but just wanted to see what it was like... When it got heavy I moved the camera back to the forestock to level out the weight and it made a difference.

I have the footage, but I think it needs some editing - a case of zooming and enabling the slow mo for effect. if I get a chance ill do the editing this evening and post if I can.

On another note. I have no intentions of going pro or entering competition. I just like to dust a few clays on my day off. :frantics:

Tony has one it’s literally about 4;ounces or so and where placed he says he doesn’t notice it.

A quick 120 this morning and annoyingly what I would call my first actual “off day”. Try again tomorrow.

I still havnt got round to editing the videos... busy evenings trying to sort out our re-mortgage..

However this morning I did get out to buy this months magazines.. Sporting gun, and LandRover Owners Mag, but I couldn't resist a bundle and ended up coming out with 5 mags...   :drinks:

And I also text a chap to meet with him Monday to go shooting, but when I checked my account and saw I had 18p :help:   I had to text back and cancel.... Roll on payday, 2 and a bit weeks to go!!! I guess I can read the clay shooter mag instead of going shooting but its just not the same :crying:
