Today I have been looking for shooting grounds where I will be holidaying - sadly though - the highlands seems very dry of clay grounds
I am constantly baffled by the want to stick excess weight on the end of your barrels to "improve" your shooting completely changing the balance of your gun,i wouldn't imagine it does much for your minimal barrel awareness either!Today im excited to be (hopefully) going out this eve, and trying a new adapter I got for my GoPro H7B which should go on the end of the barrel like a shotkam.

Hopefully ill get some decent images/videos of clays exploding into glorious dust.
I have been watching Shot Kam clips recently and find them fascinating, if it were not for the cost I would probably try one out. I too am curious about the effect a camera would have on ones shooting, a.) because you just KNOW it's there, b.) the effect on the balance of the gun.I am constantly baffled by the want to stick excess weight on the end of your barrels ......
So last night I was out, with the camera on.. about half way round, the gun did get extra heavy.. But its a case of man up, and will build the arm muscles for the future. It wont be a permanent fixture but just wanted to see what it was like... When it got heavy I moved the camera back to the forestock to level out the weight and it made a difference.I am constantly baffled by the want to stick excess weight on the end of your barrels to "improve" your shooting completely changing the balance of your gun,i wouldn't imagine it does much for your minimal barrel awareness either!
So if you shoot really well with it on and then take it of and shoot crap does it become a permanent fixture?
Having seen the size of him, he probably wouldn't notice a cameraman hanging off the barrel doing the filming.Tony has one it’s literally about 4;ounces or so and where placed he says he doesn’t notice it.
Is that a shotkam or GoPro & attachment? Ill have to weigh mine and see what it comes in as...Tony has one it’s literally about 4;ounces or so and where placed he says he doesn’t notice it.

I still havnt got round to editing the videos... busy evenings trying to sort out our re-mortgage..So last night I was out, with the camera on.. about half way round, the gun did get extra heavy.. I have the footage, but I think it needs some editing - a case of zooming and enabling the slow mo for effect. if I get a chance ill do the editing this evening and post if I can.
On another note. I have no intentions of going pro or entering competition. I just like to dust a few clays on my day off. :frantics:
