I'm opening this thread to track who attends, and to get reviews and thoughts as this pans out.

Not sure on the gold cup challenge, although a 20 bird compak course mmm!

Defo the 150 bird main event.

seems a bit steep at £18 for 20 clays, makes fitasc look cheap :)

I did one of the early ones back in 1992 at Detling show ground, took all day to make the last 12 and got back £12 quid or something having spent over £50 in entries as you had to pay each time you got through. :???:  I daren't even think what it cost me in Tippexing up my Victory shells as you had to use White Gold. :D

£10 for your second go on that day m8 ....re-entry if there is room and time (rich boys play time) ??? believe top 16 scores shoot off at the end of each day one winner goes to the final in September .

to be perfectly honest would have liked to see something on the lines of the Winchester knock out, running over 50 targets and requiring some form of qualification process ? with the Winchester if you got beat in the first round you were automatically entered into the Plate competition, both were head to head. and I seem to remember top 20-25 got good prizes incl cartridges, bags, skeet vests ,etc.

will be interesting to see how it's set, spoke to Steve last Sunday, think he said once you made top 16 you did not pay anything else on that day ( but don't quote me)   will also be interesting to see how the grouping of AAA - AA - A in the qualifying works .....

so £28 for 40 birds and a free shootoff which could be another 60 birds, and a shot at a few grand prizes, sounds ok to me!
