What happens if someone qualifies as a B class shot, but gets moved to A before the final?

Well if there name is Sebastian Vettel they will probably go on to win the White Gold Cup.

You cannot legislate against ability & improvement.

Well don Rick Wyatt (Gold Qualifier) and Lee Jones (Silver Qualifier).  Held their nerve through the knock out rounds, Gold finalists Dave Kempley, Carl Bloxham,Stuart Emms and Adrian Johnson knocked out in round 1... Semi Finals Rick beat Mark Fletcher by 6 to take the place.  Silver was close too, each of the first rounds only have 1 or 2 clays between them - Carole Sawkins shot an astonishing 18 x 20 in the Simi Final to beat Dave Currell as did Lee JOnes to beat Martin Tipper, Lee beat Carole by just 4 clays on the final round.  Next qualifier on 3rd March at Garlands.

As for what happens if you qualify in B and move up we will keep you in B (Silver).  There is no easy solution to this, it will apply to the exception rather than the majority but as rule, someone going up will be at the bottom of A rather than the top so it's a marginal gain for them.  :banghead:

A great turnout on the Challenge today, people are getting the hang of it as are we.  We have ironed out a few issues such as acknowledging a leader board is necessary at the Arena as is a separate person to take the entries and schedule who is shooting when and keep the scores updated.  People are hanging around/returning to shoot the final at 2.30pm so we feel it's only fair this that is when it will begin if humanly possible.  It clearly states on the rules of the competition that last entry/start shooting at 2pm.  It doesn't say that '.....if you've put your money on the table you're definitely in'.   This time line will become non-negotiable unless it is clearly displayed at the Arena when you enter.  It makes it more enjoyable for all when timings are adhered to. :prankster:

Hope you enjoyed the day, next one 3rd March....

There is no WGC at Weston Wood on Sunday, there isn't enough space sadly.

Good competition.

Managed to get into the shoot off as people had gone.Drew Marky in the first round and even he had gone.

Excellent shooting in silver from jonesy (18 semi,17 final) well done.

The shoot off was ok best not to think what your opponent has shot and focus on your own game,i just had one of those days today even shot crap on the 100 sporting.

On reflection I think I got quite lucky yesterday....

Lucky the weather was nice, lucky my score of 17 scraped into the shoot off for the knock out stage and most of all lucky Chris Childerhouse decided to go pigeon shooting instead of having crack at the WG!

Although when I drew Carl Bloxham in the first knock out stage I did think my luck had run out!

Lots of fun and highly recommended. I thought the layout was just about perfect for a pool shoot type format as in it wasn't mega difficult but you just got caught out on the odd bird that you knew you should have hit. Therefore it keeps you coming back for more and more.

Star of the day was definitely Childerhouse. 97 on the 100 reg layout was quite amazing.

Cheers all,

Rick.
