If I do sell it I'll let the buyer know exactly how I came by it, then they can make up their own mind.

Just out of interest what makes the Miroku better? I only ask out of interest.

Not the best solution but after a measure up found our CG has nearly the same stock dimensions, balance point and weight, going to give that a go to see if I prefer the feel compared to the front heavy MK38.

Whatever I do it's not the end of the world, I'll still enjoy shooting, life is too short to worry what name is on the side of my gun!

I've recently bought and sold a 1956 Miroku S/S sidelock, very close copy of a Holland lock, top quality even then...do I win the "Oldest Miroku" prize.

Cockney ...to be clear ....I didn't say you would..!

I said it is normal for fishing stories when selling 2nd hand guns...

You can be as honest as the day is long....that does not guarantee what a purchaser / tire kicker would believe.

Anyway abt
obviously suffering from those constant associations with ferriners

If you aren't bothered about the name then this may be a reason to perhaps sell the 38?!

If you shoot the zoli ok, and it's easier to sell the mirook anyway, stuff everyone else, and take advantage of the fact. Pocket the cash from the 38, and spend it on coaching with the zoli...?!

Good answer..better sell the house too the amount of coaching I need!
You do not need many lessons just try to learn by hitting them and when you miss ask yourself why! it takes time if you have the will to win and better yourself...... if its in you,you will find it if you are keen enough, listening to others all the time is not the best route to go down find it for yourself.

If you are getting rid of the MK38, let me know.... I have a gd1 at the moment and I know it won't make me shoot any better but I do really like the look of a gd5.

Not interested in the Zoli, mind....

I would keep the one that fits you to be honest!! It's not the name, or the price tag that makes you shoot better!!

The Miroku s x s sidelock was a  MS120. I saw the first one to make it's way into the local gun shop around 1960. Very nice gun if a touch heavy. Recently saw a pair for sale.

and just as soon as you get a Perazzi you'll know that for a fact rather than rumor

it was a Model 530, was heavy with a pistol grip, seems like Miroku was searching round for the best combination for the UK/USA markets, fair to say they did not catch on in the UK for a few years.

I know over the years Zoli was always a producer of guns aimed at the bottom end of the market,is this the reason for the dislike

expressed here for the Kronos etc ?

I`ve looked at the sporter and they seem to handle nicely etc but have never shot one.

Are they unreliable? I`ve heard quite a few horror stories about other fairly pricey Italian clay guns, are Zoli the same ?
