Well today didn't start as I had planned, my usual 1hr run to SC took nearly 2hrs; resulting in me turning up 5 mins before my start time!
And what can I say about SC, oh that's right the same old crap!!!!!
I appreciate that they cant do anything about the weather, but what they can do is provide reasonably visible targets ( Nottingham was able too in similar conditions)!
The problems as I saw it:
- As far as I know I was shooting ESK, so why the fk were the OSK fences left up?
- I would put money on the fact that the targets were not hooped before starting; granted today was gusty but when there was a drop in wind the targets were no where near the hoop. I'm use to this crap for normal registered ESK there, but I expect more for the BO!
- Why oh why use black clays? Today the light was quite poor at times and it became a test of eyesight not skill! Blaze clays would have worked for ALL possible light conditions!
All in all a very disappointing day, which falls as much at the CPSAs door as SC!
I have now decided that I couldn't give a toss if SC closes as I will no longer be supporting their registered events, apart from representing my county this year! I would much rather drive for 2+ hours to get 100 decent targets, than pay for this over priced crap!
