I disagree IPS......it means we are super intelligent ......
We can take a word and understand the meaning of it right away......
I often think that sometimes some posters cannot....hence why my, what look like simple clear and straight forward posts, are sometimes miss understood by the more intellectually challenged....just saying
And the context is changed by their waffle into something with a completely different meaning.....true story :wink:

Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see my wife shoot at her best, normally humiliating me when I make a mess of a stand and she Straights it...It's a shame that so many women don't have the confidence to take part in such a male dominated sport, also a shame that more husbands don't encourage their wives to give it a go!

I'm all for it... Purely for equality of course.
My wife showjumps...I have tried to get her to 'have a go', she says it's not her thing, she likes to go to shoots with me, meet people, watch me shoot, but she has no interest in shooting clays herself. I've tried to push her into it, she says if I 'have a go' at doing a round of jumps on the back of her 17 hands showjumper, she will have a go at shooting clays...all I can say is, the chances of me riding a horse are less than nill!!! :spiteful:
Mrs Admin has recently started coming along to some shoots - being supportive, but she steadfastly refuses to have a go... I've tried to get her to go on a Ladies event like the Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, and I've get her to have a go 1:1 with an instructor/coach... not interested.

My wife is just the same. Absolutely zero interest in guns and I've tried. She did give air pistol a go with a proper lesson but that was that! Happy to come and push the buttons if pressed and is coming to the club dinner but that's about it.

Sadly there are still a lot of chauvinistic attitudes to women shooting, most women would find the language and topics of conversations between groups of some men intimidating and distasteful especially at smaller shoots. Some men I know still think shooting is like a London Old Boys Club, where the presence of women is begrudgingly tolerated but not encouraged.

This, so much. I have no desire to be around people who think white male heterosexual privilege means that anyone who is different is somehow less. Luckily, the worst I've met at shooting grounds so far are men who don't want to bother being polite to me. None have been actually been overtly offensive directly to me.
It always amazes me when someone dislikes me for being female. There are simply so many other good reasons.

Thinking from the male dominated sport point of view .. I must agree..
Shooting is for sure a male dominated sport,
And I feel sometimes intimidated by 99.9 % of males watching me while I am shooting especially reg,
Would be great to see more ladies not only walking round with dogs but also the one who shoots or
even just learning to shoot like myself.
There is also big whole on the market regards the female clay shooting outfits,
Which might sound crazy for most of you,
However it's hard to find something in the right size ! ( for any shape ) ..
not mention about the comfort ..

Actually I have always found the lone male seriously intimidated when listening to an all women conversation....for language and topics .......true story :laugh:
