I'm also a fan of Emtec Noisebreakers. Sensible money, very effective and comfortable to wear.

I have to get mine done now....so.....names of companies that do moulded ear plugs are........?????

I know of Emtec and ProGuard......but does anyone know of others.

My last lot (done at a shoot) looked like chewing gum.....and I cannot remember the company who did them....????

I have been using Tampax, good fit, but have been getting some funny looks recently? :haha:

Check on the internet , there is a company down Worthing area , Horsham???? that do moulded plugs and also the moulding with electronics in them, they are a hearing /audiology business.

If Emtec did electronics they would be the default company for me.

I use Emtec plugs in Summer and Emtecs and Sordin Electronics together if cool enough / Winter Game shooting.

Typical answers.....should have known better.

Thanks Pete...Emtec just rang me. I want the total block out not the electronic. I feel i have to have a good solid block out with some of the sorts around these days

Some points....

Had my plugs done at the krieghoff, excellent job

Don't see the point of electronic jobs as I don't want to hear anything

According to the bloke who did mine your ear canal does change over time so plugs need re-doing every few years (sounds reasonable to me)

It is my belief that weight loss or gain can effect ear shape/size, so it is probably a good idea to check hearing protection moulded plug fit about every ten years?.

I've just bought a pair of Plugzz, They were at the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Conference and doing a roaring trade. Entry price is £50, and you can send them back and have valves put in if you no longer want total block out. You can also pick from any number of colours. www.plugzz.co.uk

www.proshock.co.uk after October I will be an agent for them ! Brill

I am very happy with my £8 HERTZ DIY moulded plugs. I stuffed up when making them on my first attempt, but luckily you get enough for two pairs.

Demon tweeks do mould your own  - its  a proguard kit

just looked you can get them on the bay for about £13

one set ordered   :)

I made the Hertz ones - off their website - £8.
