£575 for moulded ear defenders!! They must have heard you coming !!

Id value my hearing more than that! But it does depend on how much and what type of shooting you do.

Plugzz at £45?
Do me great fit me really well.
Still have electronic cans for game shooting to keep my ears warm.

Having had to study hearing loss symptoms and causes, I wouldn't shoot now without anything (have done in the past) foam plugs would be an absolute minimum and only as a temporary solution. Moulded in ears are ideal, electronic a luxury and over ear cans an alternative. I didn't realise that losing your hearing through exsposure to loud noises happens gradually and quite often without realising till its too late

eh?? sorry?  Hearing shot to bits......had a watch bought for me years ago with an alarm on it. Never knew when it was going off........ High frequency is utterly gone as far as my hearing is concerned. Have a feeling somebody shooting a pheasant when they were stood next to me and the muzzles being 18 inches from my ear at the time might have had something to do with it.....couldn't hear much for a day or two....... Use peltors now but that's as much for the amplification as anything else......

If your serious about hearing protection then earmuff's with a high db rating is the only way to go. NO plug's can be as good

Just a bit sweaty in the summer so you take em off between stands and put yourself back at risk albeit a low one, sound waves travelling through the bones around your ears yes can be damaging but protection from gunshot sounds is different than protection from constant high noise environments, nowt wrong with cans at all as long as your protected

Does anyone have a contact for moulded plugs with earphone fitting and lead for ipad. Same as used by TV commentators or Musicians .
Hi got mine from Ultimare Ears, a set for shooting and a set with headphones for on my Motorbike.

Type in the name to get to the website.

Cheers

Lee
