Another good video. Spot on with one of the main problems with any glove - the effect it has on your ability to feel and handle the gun both in terms of safety (the 1st priority) and accuracy. Having a wife who rides I have often found riding gloves to be a very good alternative to the those made for shooting - some of the Musto gloves work well - though I must confess that i do everything possible to avoid wearing gloves in any event.

Thanks Lloyd - another solid review.   I've used MacWets for years, on my 4th pair now, the dexterity aspect coupled with the ability to buy gloves that fit close to perfectly is the key attraction.  I guess there is a clue in the product name - yeah they are not waterproof, if it rains then one's hands get wet.  If you could feedback that a waterproof shooting glove that retains dexterity would be desirable then that would be great!

Topically, I bought a pair of 'Sealskinz Waterproof All Weather Multi-Activity Glove with Fusion Control™' gloves, promoted as a multi activity item and not exactly cheap at £65.  Disappointing - as you indicated there is insufficient sensitivity for the trigger finger to the point of being dangerous and one's hands get as cold as the MacWets, even when dry.

At the club a few guys sport golf gloves made for rain which are very neatly fitted and very thin. I’ve made do with thin running gloves but don’t like the lesser “feel”. I was going to buy some of the golf ones, but the MacWets seem Allright too. Have yet to find them local-ish. Macwetz or gloves with a marker...

Thnx Lloyd! My girlfriend was very happy to see your latest review. She is starting to look around for her first gun and so far only been able to try the Browning libery light. It was good to see the Beretta lady’s gun reviewed.

Not too many lady’s shotguns around here in Holland. I am not even sure any dealer or school stocks the Syren model over here to try.

Super review. I was a bit worried somebody who didn't know what they were talking about would be doing it but from 3 mins in the user of the gun took over over.

Yes - post a review of the Syren please and there are number of ladies guns which should be reviewed (F16 etc)

Already posted the Syren review (3 years ago now) but here you go:

Dee won't be reviewing the F16 as it's too long in the stock for her. We are however waiting on a Liberty for test.

Try dropping a line to Elspeet, they are a CG dealer if i remember correctly.
Thnx, just checked out their website, you are right.

Would be nice to see how she thinks it compares to the Beretta and the Syren!

I’ve used all weather golf gloves for years now, brilliant bits of kit and cheaper than so called shooting gloves. Ive used them for shotgun, rifle and pistol shooting.

Good review Lloyd, but why do the trade not like them??? Are they promlematic or do they suffer from association with Zoli guns of 30-40 years ago ,or another reason??

Caeser Guerini seem to have the same problem, although I'm told it's the Accent range due to the rib, but all the second hand range seem to hang around at dealers quite a while

I suspect it's popularity, people stick to the main brands good guns though
They need a committed distribution network like AngloItalian who'll get the punters and thus the dealers buzzing. For years Zolis were distributed by a fishing tackle shop in Lancashire called Fawcett's and more recently by Edgar Brothers, whom I'd never heard of until they took on Zoli.

By and large most of the shooting industry and a large percentage of the people running it, live in the dark ages when it comes to marketing, product placement and promotion. AngloItalian OTOH have been actively displaying CG products at shooting grounds all over the country for about 15 years. I like CGs and Zolis. They're fairly similar in fit and feel, at least in my hands, but CGs are winning sporting events virtually on a weekly basis whereas I don't recall anyone winning with a Zoli.

Poor show by Edgar brothers then because as distributors they'd certainly have the reach. They're big in the rifle shooting world.

Was it not Becky McKenzie sponsored by zoli won quite a bit with it not promoted much by the importers though
