They are fine.Any verdict on using extended chokes - are those tolerated or a definite "no-no"?
No one will care if they are normal extended chokes, if they are barrell colour I doubt anyone will notice, you may risk the piss being taken if they are turkey chokes or ported mega extended...Any verdict on using extended chokes - are those tolerated or a definite "no-no"?
Some of the shoots that I have 'picked up' on, even allowed FIXED BAYONETS !No one will care if they are normal extended chokes, if they are barrell colour I doubt anyone will notice, you may risk the piss being taken if they are turkey chokes or ported mega extended...
Could help with picking up...Some of the shoots that I have 'picked up' on, even allowed FIXED BAYONETS !
question re driven pheasant
question 1
you have another gun thirty yards or whatever to your left, bird flies directly between you both, how do you know who's bird it is. ???
First one to shoot it....if other gun calls you a "Tucking Fosser" It was his/hers...
question 2
bird flies across the guns shooter to your side fires both barrells and misses, is it bad form to take a shot, should one leave the bird to fight another day.
If you know you can do it, take it, if its I might be lucky. leave it
question 3
if the bird is close / low and is an absolute cant possibly miss it shot, does etiquette dictate not to take such an easy shot.
Leave it..........

If its not definitely yours then leave it, better one spared than one halved. Some good advice is a 40 degree angle to either side.

Presumably this will be winged to some extent so yes it should be put out of its misery.

Exactly this, if you cant miss its too easy and therefore not 'sporting'.. You may find a few birds coming through low, my partridge day on Friday suffered this and its the 3rd day they have shot this year, it gets very frustrating but least you aren't at work..
I just wish a few others would follow your example !cheers Andy ?
pretty much as I thought but best to check, I am a stickler for etiquette ?
Absolutely spot on, your fellow guns will notice the ones you have left (purposely left...) more than the ones that you shoot.all sound advice, if in doubt leave it seems to be the key.
