Good quality clays are between 4 p and 6 p depending on the amount you use for standards and midis , the specials like rabbits and battues are between 5p and 7 p again depends on quantity .

exactly it depends on how many you buy and use!! 2 small clubs my end pay around the 7p. As Steve says and buys big you get the trade prices!!
 
Well I have the trade price lists and I can say this much- I wouldn't want to have to sell shells for a living!

Next to pi55 all in retail mark up, and take into accound handling, storage, etc etc you would be better working in McDonald's!

Agreed.  I have a trade list for Clever Mirage, and even on a pallet load, the mark up is not great.

This isn't an issue, if you can sell millions of cartridges; of course you can make a profit...but it does mean millions of cartridges, constantly moving through.
