Well I'm looking forward to getting another auto in the autum for use in the field , quite fancy a Beretta this time though, either a AL391 or A400 , might even take it out on the clays now and again ! .... tin hat on ;)
I've had several 390's and 391's in their various guises. I've now got an A400 Excel 32", bit like shooting with a fishing rod but very impressed with it.

Vic

no mate not joking i also hate denim with a passion. Oh and for the record i hate anything to do with football also. Oh and many other things ... Not that i am opinionated in any way :)

So we are all in agreement then? A total ban on semi's, pumps, camo, jeans, scottish people, and multi chokes... xD

I am with you fully on dress code mat. I would even ban denim as it only looks right on cowboys and tramps.
My wife often says I look like a tramp! I love denim, if I got rid of my jeans I would have almost nothing left to wear! I've got dark blue jeans, light blue jeans, beige jeans, black jeans. Most of my jeans are Levi's, maybe a pair of Wranglers here and there, and also a pair from M&S. Down here in Dorset we can't be spending money on them there fancy clothes, this is a very poor county, if anyone down here is seen in a suit it normally means they've been to a wedding, a funeral or a court (possibly for poaching)!

Agreed. Apart from the Scottish bit i will have to give that some thought and get back to you but in principal yes :)

Well good luck with the ABT mate, you will have nice weather by the look of it. I'm off up country today, my eldest son just bought a bloody farm of all things, so I'm off to have a look at it.

Oh yes the Sandbanks shanty town. Very low lying bit of ground that! If sea levels rise much further they will all be heading for the scuba shops pretty quick!!!!

Ok pal cheers

have a good day

ps. Those jeans of yours will come in handy down on the farm :)

I was talking to somebody in work today about this thread and Autos! He told me his brother in law, some years ago, accidentally shot part of his right foot off with an automatic...apparently he had miscounted how many cart's he had in it and had fired, he thought it was empty and was gassing to someone whilst resting it...above all places, on his Foot ! he then went to take his place and accidentally put his finger on the trigger and it went off ..worst thing was, while he was being carted away by an ambulance, his Dad found another Live Cart in it...he had lost concentration so much he had completely miscalculated his rounds, he still claims to this day that he was certain it was empty!, and that someone else must have loaded the last two while it was resting on a stand earlier on and he was taking a phone call...unlikely I think...but he is adamant apparently..now he walks with a limp...Yep...they'er not for me!...makes me shudder to even think about it tbh.

I have also heard same kind of story's about O/U , S/S , single barrels and rifles ... I used a auto for years and never once had any incidents ... as with any kind of weapon you need to respect it and be aware of safety at all times .

Were not talking banning them from my point of view ban them from trap not bothered what goes on in other stuff.

OK - here's some thots from RamboLand

Lots n lots a gas guns here and has been since they were invented.  My personal objection to the mechanism proper is that it seems to take way more effort to care for than I feel like dedicating.  And like was mentioned early on, all that stuff flapping around puts me off.

The real issue for me is safety - actually, MY safety.  All of the mentioned issues are in play for me in that regard.  And flags are unknown here and I mean UNKNOWN, tho they are the obvious answer to most of my concerns.  But just try to get something like that adopted hahahahahaha

Personally I see no real solution to any of the concerns other than to get involved and just make that attempt to keep the fun times fun and SAFE.

Charlie

and don't even get me started on that denim thing
