shot an auto for many years on skeet, at pigeons, CHECK its EMPTY just like you should check your bloody mirrors before you pull out in front of me. ITS PISSING EASY REALLY

As far as I know Browning are a very reliable brand, and as it's an american company (and americans love semi's a lot more than double barrelled) I would guess there are a hell of a lot more Browning semi-autos out there than Beretta semi-autos...
I hate to be the one to say it.......but its Belgian owned.......

As I've already said " ITS THE TIT BEHIND THE TRIGGER " not the type of gun..
Yep..fully agree....when I said Autos were Not for me, its because I would be too concerned that I could easily make a mistake with one. I have the safety protocol with an O/U to almost 2nd nature, but throwing another different one into the mix might lead to me making a mistake, I have nothing against Auto's in principle in the right hands...just not sure my hands would be... Now if I had started off and had my lessons with an Auto it would probably be the other way around, but it isn't I'm afraid, so I have decided to stick with an O/U.

Ban trap shooters, the world would be a better place ;-)
Hahaha.....I have already read on Facebook that you are bored and now advertising for a wife....

What about Helice shooters.....hahaaha

Well Clayclouter...in Helice we come together from all walks of shooting life to enjoy it.....in fact if you are following the ISSF World Cup in Granada  you will see (shooting for USA in the men's skeet) a Junior called TJ Bayer. He left us on Monday in Portugal to head straight to Granada for the OSK event. His practice before hand.......HELICE...! He was 2nd in the World Championships and 2nd in the Junior World Championship....lost to our Nathan after a shoot off including high 5's. Great sportsmanship between the two of them. I hope he does well in Granada.

And reply to someone else who pointed out earlier...............Yes....we have a lot of autos at Helice....but then we are mano a mano out down a runway....so no distraction to anyone.....!

All maner of carrying autos displayed.....but no muppets here.....they all know how to deal with their guns  .

I honestly did not know that an auto is a popular gun for Helice, I could understand the benefit of shooting one when you were shooting heavier loads though.

Just think you could become a World Champion, if you are good enough, with a £1000 gun, brilliant.

I thought for true credibility you shot am original live pigeon ss

This has gone way way off topic ...... A sensible question was asked which I to had an interest in but know I,ve lost the plot

Thats a bit sexist women shooters are not that bad.

sorry misread thought it was plural
I only have one thing to say "" MAN BOOBS "";)

"Just think you could become a World Champion, if you are good enough, with a £1000 gun, brilliant."

Duncan Lawton has won two World Fitasc  titles with a Remington, and it probably didn't cost him £1000 including Entry Fees and cartridges.

Nothing wrong with Semi -Autos at all if you understand the workings of them, clean them and maintain them properly.

The gas operated ones can be particularly good for ladies and new shooters, because the operation, absorbs some of the recoil forces and makes them very comfortable to shoot. Many people with shoulder injuries or of a frail stature can cope easily with recoil if using a semi-auto.

As they can with 24g and a well fitting ou ?

Worried by the frail stature ......i am running already.....

A good few 24g kick more than a soft 28g.

But as you said earlier, you don't like semi-autos. So I guess your stuck with either a well fitting or poorly fitting O/U, as are many novices being taught for the very first time how to shoot by poor instructors.
