SuperSporting - any takers?

Just putting some feelers out.... how many people would like to see us put on a 100 bird SuperSporting at Podimore?? Would probably be an entries in advance set up....

If it's most like FITASC Sporting, not interested.

If you make it enjoyable and cut out all the faffing about and time wasting, very interested, as long as it's not CPSA members only and can be shot on a targets only basis.

You're not exactly short of shooting venues Will. Purbeck is an hour from here, Gunsite and hour and a half, Westfield is two hours, Longridge two hours and a bit, Southdown is two and a half. Its not the enthusiastic drive to get there - its the long way home after you have shot like a ********, cold, wet and about a hundred quid lighter that gets to you.

Too complicated for you perhaps, but typical of a "FITASC Elitist" which is what puts the ordinary shooter off. I know you're from Yorkshire and can't help yourself however, and will make allowances.

If Don had come back with a response like that I would have told him to stuff his shoot, but I will ignore you and give him a chance to reply. I just don't have time for this sort of attitude. :???:

my problem is that i ran out of enthusiasm for driving at the million mile mark and i still have to do it for my job.....anything over an hour on a sunday and i struggle to arrive in the right frame of mind.

My version of SuperSporting would be pretty much the same as you might expect to shoot in the US. 3 traps per stand, 10 or 11 stands, mix of some stands having singles (full use) and doubles (sim and O/R) while other stands might have all doubles (sim and O/R) 

Would be open to all with Birds Only option..... would be shot like a normal Sporting shoot though would have to look at stand timings etc to see if it might be quicker as a squadded shoot.

It looks like I may not be able to attend, but I have 3 friends who I used to shoot with (who are not on the forum) that are interested and will look out for the date. I will keep them informed.

Of course not, because then you would know them.  :wink:

I'm very choosy about who I associate with these days and have little time for shooting politics or the "characters" within the sport.

I just want to enjoy shooting my targets, be left alone, and go home. I have no need for competition or 'one-upmanship' and I don't care how 'good' you are compared to me. It really means nothing at the end of the day. Is that too much to ask? :smile:
