That's not sole debt, that's borrowings without the offset against profit which not what you said. If you only show one half of the coin every club would be insolvent as it would look like nobody takes any income. Anyway, that figure was accrued WHILST in the premiership, NOT trying to get There, which I believe was your point? They effectively did the same as Leeds in 2003/4 but on a grander scale.
That goes for most of the other teams in that list who have dropped out the division... That's the gamble of playing with the big boys.
And how old is that chart?! Sunderland had stated that figure in 2016 so that
has changed in the subsequent 4 years! The same goes for man u who they were also compared to by example at 495m. Think that's a cherry pick a bit out of date fella. Sunderland are league one... If that was correct now you still think they'd be playing?!
Qpr tried the same but got caught. Thankfully, theirs and others fines go to charity so every cloud and all that.
All the figures I've stated are from last season... Go back far enough and all sorts of nonsense went on, hence the necessary rule changes. It makes the leagues much more even (parachute payments notwithstanding).
As I said, ffp rules prevent clubs from buying their way into the top league.
2/10, must try harder.
Look, I don't approve of people wishing the worst on people and bringing others down instead of trying to raise standards for all, which is seemingly what you're doing with football clubs as a whole even though they have massively and disproportionately overspent and probably tarnished the core of the game, but I don't want them to fail just cos one doesn't like it. You can't change anything about it so I suggest you get over it and just get back to shooting and stop talking about hoping x & y fails just cos you don't like it, just makes you sound like a miserable, twisted old fruit. Life's too short to worry about what you have no change over.
Also this is boring as arseholes for most on here I'd imagine!
(for those concerned with poor old Sunderland, they currently have league one's highest wage bill but are pretty much debt free and running okay so all good at the new roker Park
)
