    Gun mount

I'm going to assume you shoot Trap (from your comments), so would pre-mount. Other things to consider, would include - Are you a "head down" or "head up" shooter? Meaning, do you mount the gun then bring your head down to meet it, or mount the gun to your face, with your head up. I mount the...

    She's done it again!

Exactly.   It is much easier to replicate a layout, if the targets must "go from here to there, within an arc of X and an elevation between X and Y at either fast, or very fast". I don't think anyone is suggesting that Kim's continuous achievement is less valid than that of GD, BH, CH or King...

    adjustable butt plate

The "Jones adjuster", is an old fashioned, not very good, heavy solution... The Adjustable butt plate, is over sized, so you could just fit it slightly lower down, before grinding off the excess.  This should give you the extra 3mm. As for thickness, the adjustable plate is 10mm thick.  If you...

Recoil Systems http://www.recoilsystems.com/adjustablepad.php Made from Delrin (lighter and more expensive than aluminium) Get yourself a green fit or x-pad while you are about it. :) For the love of GOD, don't buy a "Jones Adjuster"

    Good value gun.

Can't go wrong really. Mind you, not wanting to pee on your bonfire, but... That £1200 you spent in 2003, would be the equivalent of around £1760 today. Still, maintains good value, considering the use.

    Legal question

So, two certificate holders, one safe, one key holder? Does your son have any guns on his certificate? If so, this would normally mean a shared safe, which would usually mean all guns need to be detailed on each certificate (as either party, could feasibly have use of any of the guns)...

Don't automatically reach for a 20g.  While they are lighter and easier to save around, the reduced weight, increases the recoil.  Even 24 gram will be noticed.  So unless it is necessary, avoid. Ideally, a lightweight(ish) 12g, with appropriate stock length and maybe 28 inch barrels...then use...

    Armi Salvinelli ?

It is highly unlikely that you are that old! Beretta is one of the oldest companies in existence, at nearly 500 years old. Their SO series guns (not budget!) appeared in the mid '30's, and were on the SO4 by the '70's :) http://www.fieldsportsmagazine.com/Shotguns/the-beretta-so.html

    Gun cleaner

It removes all fouling, carbon, plastic etc. Being a gel, it also stays put so it can do the job. Very good stuff.

I also use TetraGun copper solvent...stinks something awful, but that usually means it will work. http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/tetra-gun-copper-solvent

    Beretta Worlds

Sibaldib (cheers for driving dude!) and I shot it on Thursday.               We had the pleasure of, not only following the lovely Cheryl Hall's squad, but also to have Mr Bunning (came 2nd) in our squad...so we got to see how the Pro's approached the targets. I have to agree at being a little...
