Not directed to Ed specifically: One can only blame the targets for the numerical score. It is your position in the results list that judges how well you did (1st being very good, 1051st being not so good).

This is how shoots should be judged for classification purposes in my opinion, not number of clays hit. This would allow shoots to be tougher without making any difference to sorting out who is AAA and who is C. I have the system worked out. Real simple..

Sorry, should be in a different thread really.

So - George Digweed finishes on 136x150

Quote:

Shot the Classic today. The most horrendous conditions I have ever shot in. The rain was torrential all day. Shot 136/150. Not bad considering the rain drops on your glasses blocked out most of your vision!
Any other scores known Matt?

Thats exactly as I feel it should be. It is how the england team is selected, am sure it could be rolled out all over the country with ease. I would much rather shoot a good 91 and work for it rather than a 96 and feel I should have done better any day of the week. Starting to look forward to this now :) and if Duncan has set the shoot it will no doubt knock spots off last years set up.

Only other score I have seen so far is Chris Biddlecombe on 135ex150 - close second to George.

Shot it today - I think Chard's comments would pretty well sum up today as well.

Brilliant shoot but did not suit my style - polite way of saying all those low fast birds were too quick for me!

The kind of shoot that suits young hot shots with quick reactions.

Overall a great variety of targets.

Plenty of mud now especially in the field car park where 2 wheel drive cars were getting stuck!

Managed 108 - which is below my CPSA average, it was certainly harder than last year when I shot 130 something.

yes it said m 40 on sat nav, so you don,t want to get on m40 then?? best buy a map in morning me thinks
The ground is inbetween junction 4 & 5 of the M40. When you get off at either junction turn off the Sat Nat and follow a map then on or the sat nav will keep sending you back to the M40.

Optima - from the West, take J5 off the M40...

From Junction 5 take the A40 to High Wycombe.

After about three quarters of a mile turn right onto the B482 signposted Lane End and

Marlow.

Follow it into the centre of Lane End Village and turn left in front of Norths Garage, signposted High Wycombe. Stay on this road.

Churchills is abot 1 mile on the right just before the motorway bridge back overthe M40 - clearly signposted - look for the country clothing sign
