How long have you been shooting for ips?yes 2016 was a lean year due to total involvement in dog training and then beating etc plus a general disinterest in comp.
And i imagined you much older! h34r:shot something or another since I was eleven in 1975. Started clays April 86 shot first DTL comp may 86 moved onto ABT about 92 but occasionally went back to DTL for a season then got into OT in about 09. Now on a sabbatical other than shooting for fun.
bloody ell I feel old now ?
Ah sorry...thought you went to school together when vicky was on the throneyour confusing me with the relic that is baltrap ?
Ha.....you feel old!!!!???? I took my first shot with an air pistol in 1962!!!! :frown: From thereafter it was all sorts of handguns and rifles, then to shotguns in about 85/86, then back to rifles in 2016. :lol:shot something or another since I was eleven in 1975. It is funny though when he attempts to load the gun down the muzzel.your confusing me with the relic that is baltrap ?
My Dad had a GAT in his younger days, i remember finding it in the shed when i was about 13 years old i managed to **** it using the ground, conveniently found a perfect sized pack of nails next to it and repeatedly shot his CBR600 in the garden, to say he was disappointed was an understatement. i got grounded that day.I wasn't born in 62 ?
incidentally my first gun was bought for a grand sum of £3 in 75. I saved up my pocket money for a year. I still remember going to the shop clutching my £3 one sat morning with my dad and leaving the proud owner of a GAT gun, 500 eley wasp pellets and a dozen darts. I could hit the garage door quite regularly at ten yards although they bounced off rather than penetrated the wooden doors. I remember a year or so later I became strong enough to **** it by hand, no more pushing on the floor for me. When I was 14 my brother (then 18) out of the blue came home one day with a second hand relum Taurus .22 that he had bought for me (for no particular reason) off his mate for £12 . I was now beginning a journey.
ps
the GAT eventually died on me but I still have the relum in the cabinet and would never ever part with it.
There must be thousands of guys who started with a GAT gun. Also back in those days most of us thought nothing of carrying a penknife of some sort, I don't recall it being a crime in those days. We also had sheath knives and lock knives, not to mention catapults !!! It was all just part of growing up I guess.I wasn't born in 62 ?

my instincts were right the other day then. Your a chuffing trouble maker ?I took me dads Rat Catcher Catapult one day and tried to hit birds in the tree with nylon nuts - i got grounded that day too :frown:
indeed. Yep I had me gat gun in me pocket, a sheaf knife on me belt and a very small axe tucked in me belt and off I would go exploring the countryside. You would get nicked for it these daysThere must be thousands of guys who started with a GAT gun. Ha.......... you find most clays hard to break, try shooting them where they are going and not where they have been :lol:It is funny though when he attempts to load the gun down the muzzel.
I guess some habits are hard to break.
I always carry a penknife. People always take the p*ss when they find out (its not like I walk around flashing it(calm down Ips)) but its genuinely useful. There must be thousands of guys who started with a GAT gun. Yes I carry a very very small Swiss Army Knife on my keyring, often comes in handy! I also have a much larger Swiss Army Knife in my briefcase, has all sorts of tools and gadgets on on it, very handy bit of kit. I used to carry a fair size Normark lock knife in my briefcase, until a friend of mine, who is a Magistrate told me that such a thing was not acceptable to carry without "good reason"....and opening envelopes would not be seen as a good enough reason!! What a bloody strange world we live in!!!I always carry a penknife. People always take the p*ss when they find out (its not like I walk around flashing it(calm down Ips)) but its genuinely useful.
If I am working I generally have a larger fixed blade Mora on me (reasonable excuse etc etc)
