How much do you pay for 100ESP comp?

It has been interesting to see the responses regarding the cost of reg shooting and what is fair/vfm etc etc.
What I would like to add is that Darkside has politely declined to mention the distances required for a lot of Scottish shooters and the travel costs and it has been commented by several about how far they are willing to travel in Englandshire.
For myself up in the NE the closest reg ground is Dell Glenlivet which is a 120 mile round trip, I would guess that from Glasgow it would be about 350 mile round trip. The next for me is then Auchterhouse which is a 170 mile round trip and about the same from Glasgow. They are not one-off a couple of times a year trips they are the norm for the boys who shoot reg sports in my neck of the woods so add considerably to the cost for us. They certainly limit my trips into comp world from both a time and cost perspective. Would a tenner saving on a reg shoot cost make the difference? Probably not, but as the adverts go "every little helps"

Most of the registered comps I shoot are at least 150 miles round trip.

My regular reg shoots are between 90 and 220 mile round trips. And I live in a proper county.... :spiteful: :sarcastic:
In my opinion £45 was too much for that shoot. Will I go to Auchterhouse again? Probably...it's 130m round trip and there are limited registered shoots in Scotland, tha Scottish sporting champs are being held there this year, god knows what they will charge for that!?!? I did see there was two of the regulars on the Scottish circuit shot at Garlands instead of Auchterhouse on Sunday...if I took a car load from where I live and we split the fuel, what we saved on entry's would cover the difference in fuel costs...there's a thought...instead of a poor 3 trap pool, we could have a crack at the white gold challenge!!!
