I am going to order one for my wife's Miroku trap gun. How tricky are they to cut to shape as I have just been quoted £120 just to fit.

Phil
Are you talking about the Isis recoil pad or the full Isis recoil reducer unit ?

Bryan , I do hope you have more luck than I did contacting the company that supplies the green pads. After reading the recent thread I tried for 3 days to order one for my trusty miroku having suffered with a stiff neck most Mondays, however nobody would answer the phone and the message kept telling me the voicemail box was full. Now fitted with a kickeez . I will buy one of these pads if I see one on my travels because people keep saying how good they are. Does anyone know who else stocks these?

Ashley I'm very surprised that you had any issues getting hold of the Izzards as they are always fast to reply in my experience.

PM me if you want their email address.

Ashley , I called them yesterday with an order

That's what I was thinking.  Perhaps the OP meant the Green Pad, but the stocker thought he meant the full ISIS.  £120 is still more than Mr Jenkins, but not quite so alarming as if it were for a pad only.

Thank you all for your posts, will try again tomorrow , I'm a bit old fashioned and do like to talk to someone when buying stuff for my shooting as have been disappointed in the past when buying online. Hopefully will get sorted out and be recoil free

When you speak to Dave at Isis, he will be on the phone as long (or even longer) than you wish. Very helpful.

Phone them in the morning or early afternoon and they will send out on the same day, so you can have it the next day depending on the Post Office.

Just acquired a Ultra XS Prestige. It has a Kickeez pad fitted.

Haven't shot it enough to notice the bounce, but for 50 odd quid, I might just swap it for an XPad

I have a question for someone woth more experience and knowhow. My current pad is 17mm in thickness. I would like to order the x pad but I believe this only comes in 23-25mm?!

Is this extra thickness going to cause problems with my gunfit? Should I look at getting my stock shortened to accommodate the x pad, or is the 6mm difference not enough to worry about?

Also, I'm a left hander but use a RH stocked gun. Should I still order the "left hand" pad?

The thicker the better.

All mine are 23's now.

I have an Isis system with an 11mm Green Pad on and the recoil reduction is significant. As others have said go for teh thickest pad that you can for the best results.
