I've got a spare trigger set and it's been put to use on more than one occasion, in either my or my wife's gun. I am tempted to have our trigger sets converted to coil spring when I'm at the factory next. The face of the bottom barrel chamber needs a small vertical cut put in it too something to do with missing the firing pin when the gun is opened IIRC.

only know of two shooters who have a spare trigger unit, 40up and the great dtl shooter j stafford.
Errrrr...if you recall (Bisley) you actually know three !

Oh yeah I forgot about your perazzi Chinese puzzle competition :)

I have removed my trigger unit a couple of times ..... because I can. I then looked at it admiringly and put it back in, all in all a very worthwhile pastime .... not.

Yes, when I bought mine I could not see the point. Especially as I was shown an old mx8 where the trigger section was a bit loose in the stock..

Coil springs do not retract/rebound like V's and they hold the hammers down.  Locking bar for a coil spring gun has a lump on it that lifts the bottom barrel hammer so the firing pin clears the barrel when opening the gun.  No notch required in the barrel.  That kind of fix is made by the fixers you don't want fixing YOUR gun.

just a thot

Strange that, as that is exactly what the Perazzi factory did when my old MX8 was overhauled there a couple of years ago.  They replaced the hammers in my leaf spring trigger group and gave me a groove in the face of the chamber.

Never seen or heard of anything like that.   Would be a totally non-functional mod anyway with V's as the hammers pull back from the firing pins enough that they don't drag on the cart heads.  And would be miles from the edge of the chamber.

Loads of people have spare triggers IPS.

I have a spare set..........and I know John N at Rugby has. I won't list everyone though.

It is just like having a spare tyre.....anything can happen......but rarely does.

:nyam:  I carry a spare pack of johnnies in my car!   I might never need them but! you never know? :fie:

Talk about lowering the tone on here!

This is not a good example of the behaviour that one can expect from Devonians!

No wonder IPS, from ooop north is currently the favourite!
