Even I could that. All you would have to say is "nice" everytime a competitor hits the target!

Her commentary drives me bloody mad :growl:

we've an MX8 SC3 being delivered tomorrow from Tom Young,  hopefully it will be as good as it stated on Gun Trader, it's an 04, 30" Sporter with Perazzi multi chokes, very nice wood and supposed to have did very little shooting, having bought from Tom before I'm sure the gun will be as good as he says it is.

I was looking at buying a perazzi but I will admit to being totally confused by the brand as far as I can find they make two models with many different variants f/c fixed trigger detatchable trigger v spring coil spring I have a catolouge coming to go through.also it seems that they offer a custom build at no extra cost other than you pay for air fare and hotel so this also throws into the mix that could many of the used guns on offer actually going to be made for a specific person.i do not want to buy a new one as I hate paying the vat content and do not want to take the big hit financially.i am not knocking the brand in any way as I am sure they are very good quality I just wish it was an easier task.

You're in difficult territory here mick. Let us assume you are interested in sporting. The MX12 has barrel selector on the safety catch and coil springs for reliability. Look at some secondhand examples and choose the barrel length you like. Get the stock adjusted to fit you and the stock weight to get your preferred balance. If you can find a Pro-Sport model go for it.

I was looking at mx12 and pro sport I would want selective trigger and also prefer drop out trigger with coil springs my barrel length is normally 32 inch and would also want multi choke I have seen a few with fixed.i would prefer to keep it to no more than 5k as If I cant get on with it I should be able to recoup most of my money.

That's a good plan Mick but you won't find a removable trigger group with coil springs except to special order. They were requested by owners frustrated by breakage of leaf springs. Non removables are also stronger in the grip as they don't contain the holding frame. Factory multi chokes have an ugly bulge at the muzzle. The GD spec is probably the ideal.

fear not little soldier my lifelong partner has always been beretta and will stay as such but I just like to experiment.if I do ever buy a p gun it will be a secondary gun in the cabinet.

Yes. Pro-sport came in half/three quarter and three quarter/full.
