Will be shooting the IWC Top Gun Challenge at Honesberie tomorrow. Hoping to qualify for the shoot off in Feb. Will report back with hopefully good news ?
Rich, Kevin has scores on FB. You on 93, Stew certainly not showing on 94.. ! Mix up?First visit to Hornet today, Stew driving, for a change.
In a squad of 8, old codger & Stew plus Emma Nelson, Paul Cooper, John Wells and others I rather poorly have forgot the name of.
I was first up and with kness aknocking a straight 8 ? others all seemed to be “on it” every stand, me I upped my game I feel, well I did until dropping 12/24 on last three stands, ended on a pleasing 75, first 7 something score with new gun so ? bunny. Stew 94, high gun when left Matt Hance 97
Indeed, I shot 75 a score that put a ? on my old chops despite a few wheels coming off at the end, Stew was a 94 so a few typos, am sure Kevin will check & correct,Rich, Kevin has scores on FB. You on 93, Stew certainly not showing on 94.. ! Mix up?
Rich very well done ?Indeed, I shot 75 a score that put a ? on my old chops despite a few wheels coming off at the end, Stew was a 94 so a few typos, am sure Kevin will check & correct,
Again well shot yourself, all you chaps that put in 90 & plus scores, really impressive
Thank you Sian, first time there, pretty little ground, will struggle to get back there until spring it is though a shoot I will go back toRich very well done ?
Only missed one of the incomers, but stopped the gun and shot behind two of the pink ones (bloody ridiculous, I powdered the first two), hit all of the white ones (small amount of lead needed) and only missed one of the mini's with it. Hit the first orange on Stand 1, tried to take the next one a little earlier and missed the next two before going later again and hitting the last one. Trying earlier I'm fairly certain pushed through too much and overled them. Also went to Horne and agree it was strangely quiet at the start - thought people had been put off by the cold forecast which actually wasn't that bad. I ended up taking my jumper off.
I started badly dropping all but one of that yellow incomer on the scaffolding. Next stand 5 I missed all of those white ones in front of my face. I was in front, dead on it, back edge of it so can only think I must have been above them. Also did not get any of the orange R-L loopers on 1.
Managed to straight last 2 stands including a 5 pair stand to stop the rot but left me on less than brilliant 77.
None of the new emoji's suit so wow wtf ! Hope you're feeling better.A bad day for me, got to Southdown and suddenly felt very ill. Shot the Sportrap and Sporting badly. Regrettably puked up in a dustbin but that did actually make me feel less queezy. The culprit I think may have been the Sushi I ate last night. My fault I think as I don’t think I heated it sufficiently in my eagerness to eat. Don’t think I’ll be eating Katsui chicken noodles for a while. Went on to Horne intending to sit in the car but you know me. The light was dropping and the walk to the top to start nearly killed me. Quite hard to see a few of those incomers I thought. Did have a word at the end simply because on two stands mid me Shooting the scorers decided to ask if we were the last people which in fact we were not. The third time just ticked me off - two boys together on stand two who chatted the whole way through me Shooting despite Tony asking them to be quiet. When I spoke to them at the end, one responded if you want a better score just tip me a fiver! I dropped one on there, a following pair but couldn’t see the funny side at all. Finished on 82 I think.
Thanks Hammie starting to feel better, the body knows what to do ?. Shame as shoots at Southdown were very good. Little sun affected on last two layouts annoyingly. As we left those two layouts were not so affected should really shoot later in the day during winter there.None of the new emoji's suit so wow wtf ! Hope you're feeling better.
I NEARLY tossed my iPhone in the rubbish at the services on Friday.. instead of my burrito wrapperI had a really bad day today went to Southdown and shot badly. But even worse was that I had to fish my car keys out of a dustbin after accidentally throwing them away with some rubbish.
Well done Bebo you won Ladies at Horne but they have you winning on a 74 not 77 so if it was registered you might want to check your score. Well done. I went in class two guys first with 84 they share £150. Don’t think me and the guy that came joint next got any winnings.Only missed one of the incomers, but stopped the gun and shot behind two of the pink ones (bloody ridiculous, I powdered the first two), hit all of the white ones (small amount of lead needed) and only missed one of the mini's with it. Dropping two on Stand 12 really p*ssed me off. I only ever seem to suffer from random trigger flinch at Reg shoots, usually when I'm doing OK (either overall or on a particular stand).
Oh well, onwards and upwards. Hoping to get to Greenfields next Sunday for their Reg shoot.
Hope it wasn’t the bin I puked in.I had a really bad day today went to Southdown and shot badly. But even worse was that I had to fish my car keys out of a dustbin after accidentally throwing them away with some rubbish.
I finished on 74 so they got it right. You should have won ladies though as you beat me with your 82.Well done Bebo you won Ladies at Horne but they have you winning on a 74 not 77 so if it was registered you might want to check your score. I went in class not Ladies. So the win is rightfully yours - well done xI finished on 74 so they got it right. You should have won ladies though as you beat me with your 82.
I shot it this morning when I really shouldn’t have! Woke up tired with a splitting headache and really shouldn’t have bothered. Managed to drop 17 on the Sporting ?Had a plum job near so was lucky enough to plan a trip to The Oxfordshire Shooting School for their mid-week 50 target Reg which itself was welcome break from the bitter cold. Met up with old mucker Stew Keen and after a brief de-frosting (Chipping Norton always feels an overcoat colder than the rest of the county), out we went.
Few things, the shooting on offer is a 50 target sporting & a 25 target Sportrap,, £30 comp entry for both, so fairly normal, the ground does have restrictions placed upon it cartridge wise, FIBRE only ground, lucky for me Stew bought 250 FBlacks prior to meeting up.
Clubhouse is large / small enough, large enough for who was there today, small enough to be nice and warm, and toilet facilities are without doubt the plushest Ive used, been in some good hotels that fall below these!
We were lucky enough to be taken round as just a pair, it was cold and I did feel that if it were a 6 shooter squad or a 100 target shoot that cold would have got into us, a few tricky targets and a blustery wind apart it was a nice day out in the country, Stew 45 was high gun when we left, my efforts hampered by using my old MK38 as P is having some stock adjustments, and yes I did notice the different feel straight away, also forgot to put in contacts so shot for the first time in 18 moths in prescription glasses, still enjoyed our afternoon out.
Our efforts on the Sportrap, Stew (21 ex 25) looked as if what he knew he was doing, whereas i (15 ex 25) got a tad confused, think i need more practice at it.
Overall aware not to everyones, I for one would go back
