    Barrel length

25" gun means you probably have been around shooting sports a while. Two of my friends that have 26" o/u, (weatherby, miroku) were passed down to them by their fathers.

    Barrel length

32" and 30" with a slightly longer barrel has a nice sight plane and smoother swinging. In the event that the OP wants to upgrade or sell, it will be easier to resell than a 28".

    Barrel length

As others have stated, a Beretta SP would be an excellent choice. The 32" or 30" would be good barrel lengths. I have a 32" beretta and really like the feel.

    Whats the difference!

Field guns may have a shorter length of pull, and shorter barrel options.

    Bore snake, does it wash?

I have cleaned my boresnake once. Soaked in hot water with laundry detergent in an old plastic container. Then rinsed and hung to dry. It cleaned up well. Funny thing, I havent used it since. I prefer using a cleaning rod which I find more effective.

    Just bought a Baretta 686 S Onyx, a good choice ?

If you need to shorten the LOP just a little bit, you can purchase a thinner microcore recoil pad from Beretta. I purchased a .51" .  I didn't feel anymore recoil with the thinner pad.  As long as your stock wasn't cut by the previous owner, it is just a matter of loosening two screws and...

    Beretta 692

Yes, mine came with the schnabel forearm.  There are 2 pics of my 692 further up on this thread. No, they weren't very accurate, I ordered early feb.   I was told arrival end of June.  I finally got the call early August. The US market was getting each release of the 692 a month or two behind...

    Cleaning my gun ?

I have been using to clean the wood stock: http://www.scottsliquidgold.com/scotts-liquid-gold/ I am in the US.  Oddly, it smells a little like almonds. I did a gooogle search for the uk.  It is available via amazon uk, ebay uk, and other resellers. I am sure there are equivalent local...

    Cleaning my gun ?

If your gun is new, give it a cleaning and lube before you shoot it the first time. A lot of gun manufacturers coat the shotgun in rust inhibitor from the factory. Try to keep oil, grease, and cleaning solvent off the wood.  You could start out with a good kit or create your own. This could...

What is your shotgun cleaning routine and frequency?

After finishing shooting yesterday,  I noticed it took about 30 minutes to clean. I clean my o/u every time I shoot it.  I will bring both o/u to the range but, end up shooting one due to the time and effort to clean. My routine: Clean and lubricate the receiver. Wipe down the stock with a...
