Have you seen the price of these things, I can understand the heart failure bit ! I can get a FULL ENGLISH for the price of 2 of them cans !I don't buy it. Sorry
This is why, as a Ref., I NEVER take a bottle of orange juice ! You can not watch it all of the time !trouble is if you hydrate to much before or during a shoot you need regular relief which can be distracting when your on a trap layout with ten to go. Or presumably quite a way from toilets on a esp shoot. This may not be an issue for young folk but can be for older folk and or those on certain medications which are diuretic.
Get yourself a conveen catheter then......trouble is if you hydrate to much before or during a shoot you need regular relief which can be distracting when your on a trap layout with ten to go. Forget it you will never get it over the counter... if you are claiming improved cognitive function. I worked for a pharma company that spent literally billions of $ every year on trying to claim the same for their drugs. If you want to sell some potion and not make any claims you may have a chance but even at that who is going to do the trials to find out if it is even safe?Herein lies my problem with these drinks. There is one ingredient in shooter fuel, that could possibly be of some benefit. Unfortunately it's effects are cumulative and dose dependent, meaning you need to take it regularly and enough of it to get its benefit. Also it begins to degrade once dissolved from powder form.
Myself and Henry Hopking have been discussing our thoughts on a nutritional supplement for shooting for a few months now. We have come up with something that has zero nutritional value, being a blend of different amino acids,at the correct dosage to be effective. It's still in its infancy, and to be tested over time, but the problem I see with it,is its not a simple case of open a bottle and drink, and also cost,as the doses need to large enough to be of any worth.
Dosages would be dependent on body weight, male or female, and the individuals commitment to be strict enough to measure their dosage out daily,or possibly twice daily, add it to a drink and consume instantly to avoid the contents degrading.
Its a supplement based on increasing cognitive function and muscular stamina using solely, amino acids.
Nothing may ever come of it,it needs to be trialled, and costed first. So I'll say no more on the subject for now.
You trying to copy my lifestyle Les ?For me,as a trap shooter.....coffee and ****......after a curry and a skin full of beer the night before......may not hit many don't care either!
Or are you copying me? Pmsl! You trying to copy my lifestyle Les ?
Not really illusory but as you explain positionally dependent which includes a number of variables for sure :wink:Well of course according to Einstein time is illusory so you don't really need ganja but you need to be able to put yourself into the zone. If he was correct and time is different for individuals ... it probably accounts for why some seem to take ages to break that target ... and others observing see it this way. Whereas when you are on the spot you never quite have enough time and those observing are saying ... why is he taking so long
Did not mean he actually meant it as a theory but he did actually say that he thought time was illusory. Not really illusory but as you explain positionally dependent which includes a number of variables for sure
What he meant, was that people generally perceive a difference between, past-present-future but that this is an illusion...BECAUSE of the THEORY, that time changes depending on the observers position, speed and direction of travel.Did not mean he actually meant it as a theory but he did actually say that he thought time was illusory.
"...for us physicists believe the separation between past, present, and future is only an illusion, although a convincing one."
Yes but what he said illustrates my point perfectly... I think... just give me some time to mull it overWhat he meant, was that people generally perceive a difference between, past-present-future but that this is an illusion...BECAUSE of the THEORY, that time changes depending on the observers position, speed and direction of travel.
He didn't expand on his statement within that quote, as at the time (!) he was writing to the wife of his friend (name escapes me) who had recently died.
