Would have loved to have made AGL today, but want to save my leave for shooting in the summer.

Wheels fell off at AGL for me today. It was one of their firmer shoots but I dropped 9 in two stands! Then was a bit tatty elsewhere, so 83, worst score for a while. I don’t think a huge score will win it though.

New stock shoots a wee bit lower than old so missed all the rabbits and under their rising quartering stuff they like at AGL

AGL for me as well, much nicer weather than of late.  Stands 2 and 6 were my worst getting a 3 and a 4 respectively out of 8.  Also the high driven missing 3 of those although by the time I got to the 4th which I smashed I remembered to cant  my barrels as it helps me, tw*t.  Funny that today I managed the driven on I think it was stand 4 just missing the last one because by then I couldn’t believe I had actually hit the first three!  Those I actually did take as driven when I could have taken them as crossers.  The stand at the far end in the middle section stand 9 I think I missed 3 of the closer bird!  The further one wasn’t an issue although I missed my last one so in all lost 4/10 on that stand.  Finished well on stands 10, 11 and 12 didn’t drop any.  78 for me.

He’s a lovely person, a real gent.  He missed three of his four down the bottom.

I missed quite a few! 

It felt like a firm shoot and quite quite a few different presentations than normal which was interesting. Didn’t cover myself in glory, 72/100. Shot some of the trickier stuff well though which is good.

Shot a 84 (83 on the card..but was robbed one)

It was a tough shoot ... I never performed to my best

But a good a good set of targets , some new stands,as well as good company!

Now refrained posting earlier as one was still incandesant with inner rage at my own shortcomings, yes it was a firm/tough course you dont help yourself hitting at start all only then to start dropping targets aplenty on the 3rd & 4th pair ? 

Ended light, as did Tiptop, Stew 80 and big hand to Bunter 80 in B, fair few As would have taken that score today

Two on report low incomers, only managed 3 from 8.  Overcomplicated things - should have just shot straight at the bloody things.  Picked up after the first four stands and three straights towards meant I was able to retrieve a 76.  Enough to take ladies today.

Grange Farm and Garlands for me.  I never shoot well at either and that didn’t change today.

They had some fiddly targets there yesterday and a lot were edgy or coming in from distance. I managed a slightly better 5 on the platform finding the 2nd bird only once. I hit a 4/10 on stand 10 and only managed 2 straights. The rest was just sloppiness. Finished on 76 same as you and wasn’t unhappy with that the way I was shooting.

Stand 10 was the sim pair of teal and midi crosser?  Got an 8 on that - missed the first teal rushing it and shot over the top and second to last crosser (think I was behind - fractionally slowed the gun up).  My husband shot it the other way around (crosser first, then teal while it was dropping) and also got an 8.  Showed the difference in our techniques, I hate dropping targets, he loves them. 

Straight on Stands 11, 8 and 5.  Dropped 4 on Stand 1 and 4 on Stand 3 (the other sim pair).  Everything else was either one or two away.  Was pleased with only dropping one of the incomers on 7.  Had a strategy going in to the stand of taking it further out before it started to drop, which worked for me.

You know things are bad when you shoot your highest score for months, and when you look at the scores it wouldn't have won C class.
